About Us

Rob Henson and Matthew Hoffman co-founded Hoffman & Henson Construction, combining highly skilled craftsmanship with technical expertise. We believe good work is all in the details and should never be overlooked. From simple to advanced building methods, we approach every project with the goal of delivering the best work.​

Rob has worked in construction for 30 years, building and remodeling homes. Rob’s work was featured in Charlotte Parade of Homes before relocating with his family to Ashe County. Rob’s love and main focus are custom projects for clients, honing in on his skill of specialized woodwork. Before construction, Rob worked as an audio engineer and toured across the country with musicians.

Matthew was first introduced to carpentry at the age of 5 when he helped build their family farmhouse located here in the high country. Jumping between joists and climbing rafters from such a young age has given him many years of listening, learning, and practicing his skills to provide the highest quality craftsmanship.
